Get ready for a cruise season like no other in St. John's! A record-breaking number of expedition and luxury cruise lines are set to grace the port this year, according to the Atlantic Canada Cruise Association.
The capital city's cruise season, which runs from May 21st to October 11th, is about to get even more exciting. With 13 expedition and luxury turnarounds scheduled, it's an all-time high for the port. But here's where it gets controversial...
This season also boasts six overnight stays, allowing passengers to truly immerse themselves in the city's vibrant culture and attractions. And this is the part most people miss: eight inaugural visits are on the calendar, meaning brand-new cruise lines are choosing St. John's as their destination of choice.
Meanwhile, the port of Corner Brook is also gearing up for a busy season. Starting on June 14th and concluding on October 23rd, the west coast city will welcome four inaugural visits.
So, what do you think? Are you excited for the upcoming cruise season and the economic boost it brings to these cities? Or do you have concerns about the environmental impact of such a large number of cruise ships? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
