Get ready for an exciting comeback! MotoGP legend Marc Marquez is gearing up to get back on his bike, marking his return to the sport after a lengthy injury hiatus.
The Spanish champion, who last rode in October at Mandalika, has been sidelined due to a broken right arm resulting from a collision with Aprilia's Marco Bezzecchi during the Indonesian Grand Prix. While Marquez initially resisted surgery, he eventually underwent an operation to repair a coracoid fracture and ligament damage in his right shoulder.
This injury forced him to miss the final four rounds of the season and a chance to test-ride Ducati's 2026 MotoGP prototype. However, in a recent appearance at Ducati's Campioni in Festa in Bologna, the 32-year-old revealed his plans to ride a road-going motorbike in the lead-up to Christmas.
"I'm feeling much better and will be back on the bike soon," Marquez said. "It's been three months since the accident, and I'm eager to get back in the saddle and experience the thrill of riding a motorcycle again."
He added, "There's no time for holidays. It's a challenge I'm ready to take on, but it's a bit harder for my girlfriend, Gemma. She understands the commitment and dedication required."
Marquez also expressed his gratitude to Ducati, the manufacturer that helped him regain his winning form after several challenging seasons with Honda, where he struggled with injuries and an uncompetitive RC213V.
"It took a lot of hard work and dedication to get back to this level," he said. "I found myself in the right team with the right bike after a great year with the Gresini team and Nadia Padovani. Last year, I discovered what it meant to be part of the Gresini team, and this year, I truly understood the spirit of being a Ducati rider. The team welcomed me with open arms, and that's what sets apart a happy and fast rider."
