This dual approach is a game-changer, according to A's General Manager David Forst.

"I think this experience center and the site itself are the best recruiting tools we have," Forst stated. "Every day that we get closer to 2028, it becomes more real for players."

But here's where it gets controversial... many players are still unaware of the progress being made. The A's are actively changing that. Before outfielder Tyler Soderstrom signed his six-year, $86 million contract extension, he was given a personal tour of the ballpark site. This experience left a lasting impression, fueling his excitement about the team's future.

"The excitement of the ballpark alone, it’s going to be on the Las Vegas Strip, plenty of things to do for family and friends, kind of the overall excitement of the new stadium," Soderstrom shared. "I got to stand at home plate today. I got to stand at left field. I got to stand on this new stadium that has not been built yet, and I get to see it come to fruition."

Manager Mark Kotsay, who has embraced Las Vegas by purchasing a home there, highlights the area's appeal. He emphasizes the strong team core, the financial benefits of living in Nevada (like no state income tax), and the exceptional stadium. He describes the sales center as a dynamic space that offers a tangible sense of the stadium's grandeur.

Kotsay notes that the city is more than just the Strip. He's been amazed by the community's support, emphasizing the tight-knit local feel and the wide array of activities beyond the famous casinos.

Forst, with 25 years in the organization, sees the stadium as a dream come true. He believes it will revolutionize the way the A's build their roster, allowing them to retain stars and attract free agents, something that has been challenging in the past.

"It’s really exciting," Forst said. "When we opened this place (experience center in early December), and I stood in the cube, you have the feeling of being in the ballpark."

And this is the part most people miss... the A's are moving away from being a transactional team. They're building a foundation for sustained success.
