In October 2024, Curran announced her commitment to Wisconsin, sharing her excitement and gratitude on social media. She thanked her support system, from family and friends to her coaches and teammates, for helping her achieve her goals. Her words reflect the hard work and determination that go into pursuing a swimming career at the collegiate level.
Curran, a senior at Verona High School and a member of the Madison Aquatic Club, has already made her mark. Last month, she dominated the Wisconsin Division I State Championship, claiming the title in the 100-yard breaststroke with a personal best time of 1:01.85. That's an impressive 0.33 seconds faster than her previous record! She also took second place in the 200-yard individual medley, clocking another lifetime best of 2:01.78.
But here's where it gets controversial... Curran's times put her just shy of qualifying for the Big Ten 'C' final in the 100-yard breaststroke. The cut-off time was 1:01.68, a mere 0.17 seconds faster than her best. It's a thin line between success and near-misses in the world of competitive swimming!

She's joining a team that finished a strong fourth out of 14 teams at the 2025 Big Ten Championships.
